Disc Disorders

Disc disorders such as disc herniation and degenerative disc disease can cause a plethora of related problems including severe neck pain, chronic lower back pain, sciatica, numbness and tingling in the arms and shoulders, muscle weakness in the legs, and even changes in bladder or bowel function. While disc disorders are often the result of ageing and the degeneration that occurs within the disc, severe trauma can cause a normal disc to herniate. Trauma may also cause an already herniated disc to worsen.
